We don't yet know anything about version compatibility for this game. We will have to figure that out after the European release (Dec 8 ). Everyone can submit to the same rankings until we have the facts, but even if they're not compatible it won't be too much work to separate the game into versions.
Like in the previous SMB games, there seems to be a Practice Mode in this game. Even though there has been no evidence of warp goals or a different scoring method for Normal Mode, Practice Mode is where you should be getting your high scores - at least until it has been confirmed that there are no differences between the two modes.
The Party Games have not been added yet. We hope that some of the players who are getting the game early can provide us with the games that are good competing at and what charts we need.
A Champions topic will be created December 18th. In this topic we will record a history of all the champions of the game. On what charts this will be based off of is to be decided, but a suggestion is separate champions for the Practice Mode (scores) group sum, Party Games Totals and Totals for both combined. The month from release to the start of this topic will give you some time to enjoy the game casually before getting scores. If people are interested, we can also start with player of the week/month/year. This time we have the chance to do everything right from the start!
