The main feature seems to be balance board support. The game is currently set to come out early next year.

Now for personal impressions. :P

I was just thinking the other day about how it's been over three years since Banana Blitz was announced... I hoped another main game would be announced soon, since it's been so long. I completely missed the fact that Step & Roll was trademarked last month. >_>

AiAi isn't making the best case for balance control in the video. I didn't really enjoy Marble Saga's balance board control either; MeeMee's holding a Wii Remote at the bottom of the page, though, so I think it's safe to say that it'll have normal tilt control as well. (and it'd be a horrible move on Sega's part to make it balance board exclusive, anyway)

It's keeping Banana Blitz's character design, which is nice after the constant changing in Touch & Roll/Adventure/Banana Blitz.

I haven't looked at the vid myself, but I just came here to write the news. Glad you beat me to it, Miles. I wonder if the balance board will be gimmicky for this game, I can guess the wiimote will be more sensitive and easy to use.

Cool. Hopefully Sega will fix the things that made Banana Blitz less competition friendly than previous games. We should come up with a list of things and contact Sega.

It'll be neat if you can submit level ideas too.

This is exciting. I thought SMB on the Wii was dead. My money is on balance board optional (that thing sure is a pain to use).
Please, PLEASE give us more space for saving replays this time Sega. Slow-motion/frame by frame replays too, like we had on the Gamecube. Looking forward to some new levels to mess around on for sure!
